BRIEF
The goal was to maximise the development of the commercial site primarily for apartment use, but also with the addition of a shop on the street level. The apartments needed to be cost effective, attractive, efficiently designed, and gain the support of the local council.

OUTCOME
The shape of the site allowed for the location of a naturally ventilated ground level carpark of eight parking spaces to the rear. The apartment entry was central to the frontage and shopfront to the right. The lift and stair core are centrally located to reduce the length of upper corridors and thus make the floor layouts as efficient as possible. Seven two-bedroom apartments were configured ranging in size from 100m2 to 115m2 including balconies.
